Sugar
: I like this CD better than "Lemon Parade", the new CD has more catchier songs(catchier than "If you can only see") Standout songs are "future says run", "you wanted more", "knock down walls", "waltz with me" and "love a diamond" (which sounded like a song about a baseball game before I heard the song, it's about a diamond ring). You cannot go wrong if you buy this CD. If you liked "Lemon Parade", it's virtually IMPOSSIBLE to not like this new CD EVEN MORE!
After basically burning out Lemon-Parade in my CD player by listening to it for thousands of hours, I came to the conclusion that even a band as great as Tonic will NEVER EVER be able to follow up such an album. I'm glad I was wrong. Sugar is just as good, and in many cases, better then Lemon-Parade. This band does an amazing job with their lyrics, style, and music in general! This (and Lemon Parade) is one of the only CDs I ever bought that I listen to EVERY TRACK over and over again! This CD is worth every penny. Just buy it.
HAve only had the album for less than 48 hrs. Although I DO really like it, it's hard to say whether or not it's as good as Lemon Parade. I actually don't think it's as edgy as their debut. But I plan on giving it many more listens. All in all though, it is well worth the money for anyone who likes Tonic, or Zeppelin-inspired alt rock. I'm guessing this will grow on me, however. Maybe I'll regret only giving it 4 stars! (What happened to their drummer- by the way?)
What an awesome CD. The combination of the catchy, well written lyrics and the driving beats make for a CD that is constantly in my CD player. This is one of my picks for best album of the year, along with Vertical Horizon. I highly reccomend this CD to anyone who loves REAL music with an edge. Try it!
yet another amazing piece of work from tonic. the melodies and lyrics are a little different from lemon parade, but it is still a great album. just like lemon parade, you dont really listen to tonic, you just let the music flow through you. if you really disect the song and try to determine its meaning, you will miss the entire point. just like a good painting, if you just sit and let the art flow through you, you will realize its true meaning.
