Don't waste your time by seeing this movie. I really enjoyed this film, its s science fiction mystery type movie. I would recommend you watching the trailer before the movie as it clears up some confusion. The trailer is located on the DVD. It is similar to event horizon if you have seen that. I thought the idea behind the movie was really good along with the superb effects. The line up of actors says it all Stone, Hoffman, Jackson! You know you're in for a great movie when you have a cast like that! The DVD has a few interesting features, the behind the scenes take a look at the special effects, how they created them etc. Even if you have seen the film previously then you must now experience it on DVD for the superb sound, picture quality and amazing film. Overall terrific value and money well spent. Bad movie off a bad book this film would never have made it if it wasnt a Chrichton novel. This movie is a waste of a lot of talented actors. Shame on you Dustin!!!!! Wow! What a movie! This has got to be one of the most underrated movies of the past decade. I cannot begin to comprehend how anybody could hate this movie and give it a two or less star rating! It's unbelievable! This movie truly is a treat. Haunting, exciting, intense, thought-provoking, just a wonderful film. The story is extremely interesting, Barry Levinson did a great direction job, the score is truly haunting and fits the mysterious atmosphere of the film perfectly, and the actors are for the most part terrific.I will admit the movie isn't perfect. It has one mistake in particular that is annoying but most people won't notice it unless they are searching for it. The story also has holes in it, but I think they were put there to make you think and to let you lead to your own conclusion about the mysterious things that take place. This is truly a great movie and massively underrated. Watch out for some of the most intense and unbelievable plot twists and scenes of recent film. Two parts in particular are magnificent and unforgettible! A definte must-see! Just sit back, relax, and absorb yourself into the plot. When I went to see this in the movie theatres my friend Greg said it was awsome so I belived his and wasted my 7.50$ to see this crap. I can't honestly tell you how much I hate this movie the only thing I can tell you is that I would not watch this movie again for a million dollers. The movie just drones on and on. Plus there is no point to the movie here let me sum it up for you. The go down in ocean and fool around with a giant beach ball for 1 hour and 30 minutes. So the only thing I have to tell you don't bother paying the 4 dollers to rent this it's not worth it.
