: The reason I'am a fun of this soundtrack is that I had original LP a lont time a go, when I was a school boy, and then I lost it. After about ten years I;ve found it in some seconde hand music store in Finland. I was extremely happy about it. It is one of the favourite music in my collection.
 For all the time, most critics do nothing but acerbic abuse.
 Whoever thought Beatles songs could sound so bad. Ringo has modestly said that Lennon/McCarteny songs were what made the Beatles great. But when you listen to those same songs sound so bad here, you know it was the way they were played by the Beatles that made the great. Don't be so modest, Ringo!
This is an all time favorite of mine. I have always liked these versions of the songs BETTER than the Beatle's version because on this album, the songs have depth that I have never found in the Beatle's music. People often say the movie was bad. I never thought so. I feel that it was often misunderstood. It was SUPPOSED to be light and silly and campy folks! It portrayed innocence, innocence nearly lost, innocence refound tempered with wisdom. It was a movie of imagery, of fun, of light hearted feelings, of feel good times of days gone by, of finding independence, of pursuing a dream, of not taking oneself too seriously, of beauty, of love and again, of innocence.
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOREVER TO GET THIS ON DISC. I HAVE THE VINYL, BUT IT IS WORN OUT. NOT SINCE THE SOUTHPARK CARTMAN'S FATHER EPISODE HAVE I WAITED WITH THIS MUCH ANTICIPATION. BUY THE MOVIE. IT ROCKS. BARRY GETS ANGRY WITH ALICE COOPER. ENOUGH SAID!
