Here are some customer reviews of Sex and the City - Season Six, Part 2 :

Look people, those of us who really really want it, will buy it. If you cant afford it, go rent it, disc by disc, those of us who need it that badly will find a way. I know it sucks, but so does life, and I just want to have the last part of SATC so that I can complete the collection, and covet every moment I spend watching it. So please, don't disgrace SATC by claiming that it isn't worth it. It is to me, and many others. And I bet you will buy it anyhow. If not, then oh well, it wasn't worth it......you don't got it. Thats your choice.

Although I loved season six, everything about it really, including how it ended with all the characters the DVD set is ridiculous for touting the "alternate" endings as a great extra and incentive to pay extra money! It was a joke....the each are like one minute long and provide no plausible alternative ending...just suggestions of what may have happened. Very very silly. But worth having because I loved the series.....they should have put more thought into this and played out the entire alternate ending from beginning to end...I don't think they really shot three endings just these cheesey scenes to throw everyone off.....

With the closing of Friends, Frasier and now Sex and the City - we truly are seeing an end to an era.

This last set of episodes seemed a little less on the edge and more like a setup to the last episode. That having been said, I would not have missed them for the world. The creators still did a great job in providing a nice ending to each of the characters' stories.

I agree with many of the people who posted reviews for Season 5 and Season 6 Parts 1 and 2 - HBO treats the SATC followers very shabby in (1) charging so much for virtually half seasons (2) releasing Season 6 as two separate FULL PRICE sets and (3) providing very little extras in Season 6 Part 1 to compensate for the price.

I must say, I totally enjoy all of the episodes with Michael Patrick King's commentaries and I wish that he did that for EVERY episode. I also HOPE that they include the special SATC Overview show(s) (2 half hour shows that were really one show) in the Part 2 DVD set. It would also be nice to see the Oprah show with all the girls - but I am sure that will not be on there.

All in all - it was a great 6 years and I will enjoy watching them (uncut - unlike the TBS/TNT versions) forever. It is too bad that broadcast networks cannot take the lead from HBO and BBC and make LIMITED RUN series that have high quality and great stars that know they are only committed for a few years. Imagine the quality that we would enjoy. I strongly urge everyone to purchase every season from 1-6 (Parts 1 AND 2) to complete your collection of one of TV's best groundbreaking classics (cliche, I know, but true).

If you've already seen the last episode and wanted to buy this one for the purposes of seeing what the highly touted 'alternate endings' were, don't bother. They're illogical given where the new endings pick up and a complete cop-out on the part of the writers and producers. I was under the impression that if you didn't like the ending that aired on HBO, or wanted to see what else the producers had considered, maybe one of the other three endings would be to your satisfaction. But they're not really 'endings' at all. They start at the *very end* of the episode (as in the last minute or so). It's pretty lazy on the show's part to not start the alternate endings earlier in the show.

The original ending ended on a stronger note than the alternates.

I can not believe that after putting out season 5 at full price, even though it was shortened due to Parker's prenancy, HBO (Time Warner) has the nerve to break season six up into two parts.

I already had to keep HBO several months longer so that we could see the end of the series, but this is just a terrible way to treat loyal fans of the show.

Sex and the City was a great series, but I recommend that you think twice before paying so much for so little. Only die hard fans need apply.
