Here are some customer reviews of
Seventeen Days
: 3 DOORS DOWN NEW CD IS AWESOME CD THEIR NEW SONG LET ME GO IS A GREAT SONG THIS IS THEIR THIRD DISC SO PLEASE PICK THIS ONE UP AND BUY IT.
Now, normally when I think of Three Doors Down, I think of pop/rock that is mediocre. I also listened once to the samples here on Amazon, and was not impressed. But someone gave me the cd so I listened to it, and I was BLOWN AWAY. SOOO good. There are some really deep lyrics and awesome chords. This cd is currently on repeat on my Dell, and I plan for it to be for some time.
I don't think you can truly compare Seventeen Days to their previous two albums. But I don't think either that this is their best work. Seventeen Days represents the continuing evolution of the rock band, trying to find exactly what they want to accomplish. Do they want to be heavy? Do they want to be more "rock/pop?" Or do they want to be somewhere in between? The latter is where this album falls.
"Let Me Go" is by far the best track; other good ones include "Landing in London" and "Father's Son." Frankly, all 12 tracks are good, but those three stand out. If you are a true 3 Doors Down fan, you'll appreciate this album because you can tell they're trying to grow. If you're new to the band, you'll enjoy deeply engaging rock music. It's worth the money.
I'm disappointed. I'm bored. Every song leaves me waiting to hear the next one hoping its better.
This album may not be totally different from the last cd away from the sun...but it is still great and i highly recommend this cd even from the first listen through you can tell it has all the catchy hook and riffs we have come to expect from them....good cd overall
