Rush Hour
: I'm a Traffic Engineer by profession, and my mother bought the gift for me at Christmas almost as a lark. The problem is that neither I, nor anyone I have shown the game to, can put it down. It certainly seemed easy enough, having done a few of the "beginner" level setups, that I jumped ahead to the "expert" ones. After about a half hour I had to drop back and work my way up through the easier ones. It's great fun for anyone who enjoys a challenge, likes to use their brain, and doesn't mind getting a little frustrated sometimes. At least it's not as bad as getting stuck in a real "rushhour" traffic jam! END
I got this for my 9-year-old son for Christmas...and have been "playing" with it myself. It's a great short-term solitaire puzzle, that has the potential to keep my mind sharpened and thinking ahead. Oh yeah, he seems to like it, too, as does my 16-year-old!
I write software for a big networking company, have multiple computers at home, and dozens of computer games - and my wife and I keep on coming back to the charming, addictive simplicity of Traffic Jam! Binary Arts has done a real service to puzzle fans by both bringing back classic puzzles (such as a rework of the old 3x3 7-piece cube puzzle) and creating new ones - all in attractive packages. There is something that just feels good about having the puzzle pieces in your hands, and not on a computer screen. If you enjoy this as much as my wife and I, you may find yourself bringing this with you on the plane and to your vacations - one of my favorite pictures of my wife is her solving one of the Binary Arts puzzles on a hotel balcony on the west coast of Maui - beach, sunset, and ocean island views were all forgotten as we got hooked on their products! I am a father of a 5-year old. I bought this for my son and he started to play with at the easy level. He soon loved it and his skill improved in fast pace. Toys that train one's mind is not rare but it is difficult to find one that is appealing to the kids at the same time. Rush hour is one of the best. But on contrary to the maker's and amazon's comment, it should be recommended for kids as small as 5.
A friend brought the Rush Hour Traffic Jam game home from Chicago and gave it to us during the weekend. We all had such fun trying to figure out how to get that little red car out of its designated spot! We couldn't find this game anywhere here so we decided to look it up on the internet and found a site under construction then found the needed information on amazon.com. This is great and we are looking forward to the site opening. This game will truly challenge your mind and irritate you too. What fun! END
