Richard Marx - Greatest Hits
: From Don't Mean Nothing in 1987 to Touch of Heaven in '97, there has never been a better compilation of music gathered of just one artist. Richard's words and music grab at your heart and soul and they also tell a story, whether it be for the runaway children (Children Of The Night) to a dead woman (Angelia --- Hazard) to a lullaby for his own children (Angel's Lullaby), these songs are a must have!
If you were a fan of Endless Summer Nights, Hold on to the Nights, as well as Right Here Waiting, this album is just perfect for they were all by the same artist: Richard Marx. Sadly, I believe that Richard Marx deserved better fame than many singers out there, he is perhaps the best of lyrics writers and his soft piano music is very relaxing to the ear whether you are a fan of rock or just slow music. One of the unknown works, Angel's Lullaby is a really nice and sweet song. If you are into slower music, this is a very nice album to take home and listen.
The album 'greatest hits' is a real wonder. Richard marx is one of the best song writers too. The song 'till i find u again" is the best i like and the instrumentals are too good. I would like to hear from all other richard marx fans and would like to get in touch with them.
Richard Marx is probably one of the most under-rated male artists out there. Sure he has had his major hits such as Right Here Waiting,Now and Forever, and Hold Onto the Nights(which are all on this CD.) But it's sad that you really don't hear much about him anymore. I would rate him up there with the greats like Billy Joel,Sting, and even Elton John. Marx is a great song-writer and can play the piano and guitar beautiful which are displayed on many of the tracks on this album. The out-standing tracks on here in my opinion are Hold onto the Nights,Don't Mean Nothing, and Right Here Waiting. Right Here Waiting is Marx's signture song which I'm sure everyone has heard one time or another. It is also probably the best ballad on the eighties. So,if you are a big music fan and enjoy soft-rock,you have not lived until you hear this. Definately not a waste of your money,so buy it and enjoy!
The moon, the stars, the night, the wind blowing softly through my hair, the sand touching gently my skin, the waves crushing on the shore,my boyfriend holding my hand and kissing me tender.Above all...one voice, one style-Richard Marx.
