 I purchased this phone with high hopes of using it as my primary home office phone. The phone directly interferes around 50% of the time with my 802.11.B wireless network. Since the phone channel can not be fixed, the Plantronics CT12 will randomly knock me completely off the network. No amount of calls to Plantronics or fiddling with my wireless channels improves this problem. Thier answer is that the channels are choosen by the phone and there's nothing they can do. I've returned the phone for a refund. The other problem is that the phone can not be used while it's in the charging base, so you'll need to have another office phone for when the battery runs low. If it weren't for these two major issues, it's a nice phone with clear sound and the little red light on the mic boom is cute.
Unlike another reviewer, this phone has caused no problem with my wireless network, and I also use a Lynksys router. However, it does seem to be sensitve to metal objects. I had the CT12 placed next to a metal lamp, which caused no problem with my previous wireless phone. However, when the CT12 was placed next to a metal object, the signal was weak. Relocating the phone to the other side of my desk helped tremendously. Now, my only complaint is that on occasion, perhaps 1 out of 4 calls lasting more than 30 minutes, a certain buzz develops on the phone. Fortunately, switching channels always clears the problem. A nice feature about this phone is the convertible headset. I was used to an over-the-head model, but wanted to try an over-the-ear model. Having the option of both reassured me that if I did not like the over-the-ear model, I could always switch back. Turns out that sticking through some pain on the top of my ear for the first two weaks was well worth it. Now, my ear is perfectly confortable with the over-the-ear model and I could wear it all day. This phone gives me the ability to walk around the house and even all around my yard with no significant reduction in signal quality. The fact that the phone wears on the hip makes the head set light and confortable. The belt clip could be of better quality though. My phone has fallen out of my belt or pocket a few times. On the positive side, the phone is very robust and can handle some amount of abuse! As other reviewers pointed out, the keys are small, but that is of no bother to me. Last minor complaint: the amplifier is never quite sufficient to boost up the volume of soft-spoken callers, but to be honest, I have not yet seen another cordless phone which is better in that area... Perhaps in phones to come this will be improved!

This phone has set me free. Recently had neck surgery which causes me to have to get up and move around often. Long conference calls are not conducive to moving about when tied to a non-portable phone. This phone allows me to move about with all the commands of a regular phone (mute, caller ID, dial, hang up, pick up, etc.). Very cool! My only down side is that I like the over-the-ear rather than the over-the-head configuration for the headset and its a bit uncomfortable for my small ear. Not a show-stopper, though. I don't have a wireless router/modem, so I don't have any issues with my other home office equipment.
Great price on amazon. Works very well/clear. At first, my internet connections get dropped whenever the phone is in use. But we manually reset the Linksys router to a different "band" and then after that it works fine.
