Phaedra
: I would give them 10! ;o
I really have nothing to add to all the good things said. Except for the title track - It's like I'm on a space voyage (preferably in our solar system), and when one comes across those pulsing drone sounds, it's as though I'm approaching a giant planet , like yes, Jupiter. This album puts you there!
One of T-Dream's best albums. Very spacy and ethereal compelling non-music. Maybe not the best choice for beginning T-Dream listeners, but if you like it cosmic, this is an excellent choice. This will definitely grow on you on the odd chance that you don't like it immediately. Gradually, over the first 5-7 minutes, you're transported to a new sonic dimension, and the next thing you know, you're discovering a new definition of what music is.
Listen to this album very loudly so you can hear all of the subtleties of the complex interplay going on. Big bright slabs of Mellotron and Moog roam around in a landscape comprised of Franke's bubbling arpeggios and Baumann's cloudy flute. The first track alone is worth the price. To be able to hear such marvelous things happening is truly a privilege.
I have used this CD for more than a year as a background for meditation and prayer. The second cut is particularly effective.
