Britney Spears First Album "Baby One More Time" IsAwsome Specially The Song "Born To Make You Happy" Now ThisNew album Is Awsome Too. Britney Is Great.
First off the song that really disturbs me is the song 'Oops I did it again'. While the song is catchy, Britney sings about how she played a boy,'Oops i did it again, I played with your heart got lost in the game' and even though she explains how it was terrible mistake, no girl or guy should ever make that mistake. That is a shame, since the tunes in the song are very well done. 'Lucky' is an okay song; It's about how being famous isn't what you think. The song isn't all that good, since you can't really understand it unless you see the music video. The tune is fairly good but it does resemble the one in Oops I Did it Again. If I were a Britney fan (like that will ever happen)I would still appreciate the CD since there are some decent pieces like 'Stronger' and 'Don't go Knocking on my door'. I know this since my cousin plays the CD 100 times each day.*-_- I don't think her voice is the greatest, but I have to admit, her dancing is very good. (Actually, if she became a dancer I would of liked her more) If your going to get a Britney CD it better be this one since the first one is 10 times worse. Even if there are some bad songs, it will still be a worthwhile for Britney fanatics.
Britney's got catchy tunes, well at least her song writers do. She's got dance moves, but the real question should be, can she sing? Well the album thoroughly answers my inquiry. Oops! ..I did it again is compiled of a manufactured, studio mixed voice, overproduced, clichı songs, not written by the artist herself (except for the sappy and sugary Dear Diary). The songs obviously aren't original, and they show no signs of creativity and individuality. And an injustice of the album is the cover of Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones. Although I am not really a fan of the Rolling Stones, they are a legend, and Britney is no where near them. Her weak voice cannot be disguised throughout the album, and the comparability to her last album is laughable. I'm not saying that all the songs are not listenable. Most are just forgettable and not worth a second listen. But some are extremely catchy, and have good beats. The better of the songs are Stronger and Lucky. But the lyrics are horrible and demeaning. What are the messages and examples she's sending? Well, obviously she's not good at setting examples anyway. So my main point is, the world of music is slowly deteriorating, and Britney Spears' overproduced pop is evidence of it. Real talent has been replaced by clichı music and mechanical voices and blondes who don't write their own music. It's obviously your choice, but this album wasn't anything special, and not really anything original or creative, just familiar songs, and shallow lyrics.
A few notable songs in this album are Oops I Did It Again, Stronger, Satisfaction, What U See Is What U Get, Lucky, Girl In The Mirror and Dear Diary. Lucky is indeed implicit of how empty she feels deep inside despite her monumental success. The upbeat rhythm really disguises the sorrow the protagonist, Lucky, is going through. A classic! Buy the album, you won't regret it. It does not sound the same throughout, it's tunes are much more diverse than her previous flick. There are more guranteed #1 hits too. It's bigger, it's better. Get it now. |
