: This Floyd album, which happens to be a movie soundtrack features ten great tunes from the psychadelic classic rock band. They explore the realms of British pop in this one of a kind album. Every Floyd album is different... they're all good if not great.
 All in all this album is great. There's nothing wrong with it, which is whats wrong with it. All the songs are good, but they don't create the mood like most other Pink Floyd albums. Wish You Were Here, Meddle, Dark Side of the Moon and most of their other work you can't put in for backround music. They demand listening attention in a dark room with surround sound or a great pair of headphones. This album on the other hand can be backround music, there's nothing bold or expiriemental about it. Its a fantastic listen, every song is great, just not as thought provoking as the rest of the Pink Floyd catalogue. I'd actually recommend this album to people new to the band who find their more complex work a little too artsy. This is still patented Pink Floyd, just done in a hurry.
Why this cd of Floyd's is not as recognized as say, Animals or The Wall or even Dark Side is beyond me. Gilmour displays some of his finest guitar work, and Waters' and Gilmour's vocals are amazing and relaxing.It is a must-have for every Floyd fan out there.
this is simply a classic cd.i often have heard PF fans asking how did u find dark side .... and the wall.no one ever has asked about this album.this is a classy cd on its own,just look at the starting two tracks,its so powerful -it just takes u to a different world.the rest of the tracks are also very good and all the songs have the PF's classy psychedellic touch.this is not only for the PF fans but a must for all the Psychedellic rock lovers.its amazing,but its sad that very few have heard of this.just take my word and buy,i gurantee.
This is a tremendous album. Although I didn't at first like many songs other than Wot's uh the Deal, I now cannot take the disc out of the player without having listened to the whole album. If you're sick and tired of the Roger/Dave power struggle of the later albums, this is a perfectly happy and harmonious album from the years when nobody in Pink Floyd hated anybody else in the band. At least, every song is different, so you'll certainly like at least one. Considering this album is really just a soundtrack and could well have never existed, we should all thank our lucky stars. And, for novelty, this was the last small-time album before DSOTM.
