Now That's What I Call Music! 8
: This particular Now CD contains singles that are anything but recent. "Walk On" by U2? "Bootylicious" by Destiny's Child? These singles were released in the summer. It is now winter. Maybe the people at Now headquarters should get their act together and actually PUT RECENT SONGS ON THE ALBUM. Isn't that the whole point of the Now CD series anyway?
I really liked this cd, as I have the entire NOW collection. Here's my opinion on the songs: 1. BOOTYLICIOUS- old, but still good ~4/5~ 2. POP- I like N'Sync, but I've heard better. ~3.5/5~ 3. I'M REAL- Nice song, and I like the version with Ja Rule too! ~4.5/5~ 4. STUTTER- Pretty good- a little annoying after awhile. ~4/5~ 5. SOMEONE TO CALL MY LOVER- I don't think I could ever get bored of this song! ~5/5~ 6. AM TO PM- Great dance music! ~5/5~ 7. A LITTLE BIT- one of my favorites from Jessica Simpson. ~5/5~ 8. CRUSH- I usually don't like these kinds of songs, but this one's an exception. ~4.5~ 9. ROCK THE BOAT- I like Alliyah's music, and was very sad when I heard she died. I'm glad her music's on here. ~5/5~ 10. U GOT IT BAD- This is my favorite song on the cd, and my favorite song by Usher. I want to listen to it over and over again! It's really nice. ~5/5(atleast)~ 11. MORE THAN THAT- also a great song, but I've heard it too much. ~4.5/5~ 12. CLINT EASTWARD- very strange, but ok once you get used to it. ~3.5/5~ 13. START THE COMMOTION- ok, but nothing special. ~3/5~ 14. ME MYSELF AND I- nice beat, but I don't really like the lyrics. ~3/5~ 15. I'M A BELIEVER- awesome, fun song! ~4.5/5~ 16. FAT LIP- cool and it puts you in the mood for The Rock Show. ~4.5~ 17. THE ROCK SHOW- I'm a total blink-182 fan, and this song really grew on me- my 2nd favorite on the cd!! ~5/5(maybe more)~ 18. BAD DAY- Nice song- a little depressing. ~4/5~ 19. 3 DOORS DOWN- overplayed, but still good. Nice lyrics ~4.5/5~ 20. U2- not the best one on the cd, but a great ending! ~4/5~ All in all, I loved this cd, and think it was definately worth the purchase!
Usually I am so pleased when a new Now That's What I Call Music CD comes out and I rush to the store to buy it. With Now 8, that is not the case. I think it is the worst now yet. The songs that it has are way too old and were way overplayed all summer long. I don't think I could sit and listen to N'Sync "Pop" or 3 Doors Down "Be Like That" one more time! Joe "Stutter" came out in January and was popular in Feburary. What's it doing on Now 8??? If you want a real hit compilation this Christmas, get Totally Hits 2001. Otherwise, wait for Now 9.
