In case you've been living in a cave for the past 6 months, here's a recap of the top 20 songs from the likes of KIIS-FM. The exact purpose of this series is beyond comprehension; no "artist" on their discs in going to last the next 2 years. With entries from such quality acts as The Baha Men, Nickelback, and B2K, you're assured to get a wide range of mediocrity in each genre present. What troubles me most is that this series is coming up on its 40th release in England, where this whole thing was started. In conclusion,
1. Britney Spears-Overprotected. What can I say...the original is better. (4) 2. Kylie Minouge-Can`t get you out of my head. Squidward and I love this song. (10.5) 3.Enrique Iglesias-Escape. This reminds Mr.Krabs of money. (7) 4. Marc Anthony-I`ve got you. OK. (3) 5. NSYNC and Nelly-Girlfriend. Nellly is the rap king. Yeah. (8.3) 6. J-lo and Nas-I`m gonna be alright. It`s alright. (7) 7. Paula Rubio-Don`t say Goodbye. Uhhh... (6) 8. Baha Men-Move It Like This. Hey, I love this song. (10) 9. Aalyah-More than a woman. (Starts weeping) (10) 10. B2K-Uh,huh. A personal favorite. (9.9) 11. Ja Rule and Ashanti-Always On Time. Bikini Bottoms favorite song and rap artist. (10.9) 12.Jade Anderson-Sugerhigh. Sandy and I are Sugerhigh. (8.2) 13. Musiq-halfcrazy. Crazy. (6.3) 14. Shakira-Underneath Your Clothes. There is that endless story. (10.9) 15. Vanessa Carlton-A thousand Miles. Da,da, da. (8.9) 16. Celine Dion-A new Day Has Come. Nothing like I`m alive. (2.1) 17. Moby-We Are All Made Of Stars. And Patrick is one of them. (10.9) 18. Blink 182-First date. I play this song everytime I go back to the Beach with Patrick. (9.9) 19. Lenny Kravitz-Stillness Of Heart. Like it. (4.2) 20. Nickleback-How You Remind Me. Ok. (2) Here is what should be on Now 11: Goodbye!!
But, what I didn't like is that they put the tracks More Than A Woman and Uh Huh here and in "Now Presents: Off The Hook". Another thing. If it says 20 chart-topping hits, why are the tracks: "Overprotected", "I've Got You", "Move It Like This", "Sugarhigh", "We Are All Made Of Stars", "First Date" & "Stillness Of Heart", in here. News for you, they are not chart-topping. The tracks didn't get at least to the top 50 songs in the country. So there are 9 songs that shouldn't be in this CD! The good side of this CD is that they finally didn't put in here Backstreet Boys, they should get the idea to take out Britney Spears too. But the good about this CD is that it has the tracks: "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" (ranking #7 in the billboard hot 100), "Girlfriend" [#5 (4 weeks)], "I'm Gonna Be Alright" [#10 (4 weeks)], "Always On Time" [#1 (2 Weeks)], "Underneath Your Clothes" (#9), "A Thousand Miles" [#5 (3 weeks)], and "How You Remind Me" (#1). Others include: "Escape" (#12), "Halfcrazy" [#16 (2 weeks)], "A New Day Has Come" (#22), and "More Than A Woman" [#25 (3 weeks)]. And Yet others: "Uh Huh" (#37), and Don't Say Good Bye (#41). Another good reason that I bought this CD is that it has different kinds of music; R&B (More Than A Woman, Uh Huh, Sugarhigh & halfcrazy), Pop (Overprotected, Can't Get You Out Of My Head, Escape, I've Got You, Don't Say Goodbye, Move It Like This, A Thousand Miles, We Are Al Made Of Stars), Rap (Girlfriend, I'm Gonna Be Alright, & Always On Time), Balads (Underneath Your Clothes, A New Day Has Come) and Rock (First Date, Stillness Of Heart, and How You Remind Me). Here's a piece of advice: Don't put Britney Spears in the following volumes, until she has a hit, same with Backstreet Boys, Lenny Kravitz, Blink 182, Moby, Jade Anderson, U2, and Baha Men. PLEASE! |
