Don't miss this one....and especially I Believe.... What could be better.....? Motown sound and Michael McDonald's voice, what a combination. The first time I heard this was in a commercial and then went right out and bought it. This cd is perfect. I play it at home and in the car...can't get enough. I'm surprised Michael McDonald didn't undertake this project earlier. His smooth, soulful voice is the perfect match for this classic collection of Motown tunes. I never get tired hearing the songs, and now they're even more interesting with Michael's great voice. The production work is top notch, and the musicianship is excellent. It's obvious everyone had fun putting this one together. My favorite tracks: "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and "Reflections". Well done! I love this CD. His version of "How Sweet it is" is the only one I am tempted to skip by. The rest are great. I've always loved Motown. This CD is a great way to here some of those great songs again. I am sorry but I am so disappointed in this CD. I have always been a Michael McDonald fan but this just does nothing for me. I think maybe Clay has ruined it for me. I can no longer listen to singing that I can not hear the words to. I use to like that about Michael, his voice was always so sexy, so rough. I now love to hear Clay sing and only Clay. I would recommend Clay's single over this one any day.
