Here are some customer reviews of Motorola V188 Phone (T-Mobile) :

Had to upgrade from a V66 which broke down.
With this V188 I like the nice and sturdy look and the fact that I know the time and who is calling without opening it.

I do not like the polyphonic ringtones (I am older than 13) which are not loud enough to be reliably heard in a car. The vibrate mode is not vigorous enough either, so many needlessly missed calls.

I miss voice recognition (great in cars) and icons designating home/work/cell numbers.

(Too) many features I do not use make those I use complicated to access. I really do not care for color displays. The old V66 car charger would not fit.

This is exactly the phone I was looking for:
1. Got an excellent Speaker
2. And No Camera (Who needs a camera on a cellphone anyway?)

Very satisfied with this simple and compact phone.

This phone is the best. I'm only twelve and this is my third cellphone my first phone was an old Motorola phone the service was pretty good and all but everytime I went to make a phone call most of the time all I heard was the person on the other side breaking up with me and it was my phone that was doing it so, I dropped Motorola and started with t-mobile and got me a nokia 3390, it was really good for a prepaid phone and it was quality service. Now I have a T-mobile V188 for motorola and it's perfect for my summer activities that keep me on the go I'm really happy that I havent got hacked Paris Hilton style either. The calls are clear and the service is just what I need so I recommend this phone to anyone who needs a small phone and a quality service

Motorola is somewhat notorious for producing phones that are buggy, or overpriced, or without features that so many other providers offer. The motorolas I have used in the past were right in line with that assessment.

The Motorola V188, however, is a perfect phone for someone who doesn't need fancy features, stylish casings, or bluetooth. For the average user, this is a reliable,quad-band, speaker-enabled, flip phone that is compact and simple. Inexpensive, the V188 also has wallpaper, HIFI ringers, a simple color screen, easy to navigate menus, calender, games, and the usual Motorola add-ons. It is a little over 3 inches long, 1.8 wide, and a little over an inch thick. It fits neatly into a pocket or purse. For me, having a useable speaker phone is a big plus. The sound if clear even in a car, and is far superior than the speaker on my last Samsung. Most importantly though is the quad band capability on this phone, which makes it easy to travel worldwide with. Talk time with a full charge is a little over 3 hours, or 14 hours of standby.

If style, camera phones, or gadget equipped phones are your thing, this phone is definitly not for you. If you want a simple, reliable, inexpensive primary or backup phone that you can take overseas, then this is a solid choice. I use it as a primary, and it hasn't let me down yet.

I upgraded to Motorola V188 from Sony Ericsson with T-mobile as my service provider. The phone looks amazing with its nice GUI and other graphical features. It is sleek and nice to have.

But during my two years of service with T-mobile, I never had any issues with dropped calls as with this phone. On an average I get see two-to-three calls being dropped. The conversation gets disconnected; People cannot hear to what I am saying. I am finding ways to not to use this phone anymore.

I am Not so happy with this Moto Phone..V188
