Here are some customer reviews of
Most Wanted
: I was very disappointed with this CD.
1) I haven't bought any of her other stuff and I liked the song Come Clean but it sounds nothing like the original!
2) All the songs sound the same.
3) On some of the songs she really can't hit the notes and it puts you off listening to the rest of the CD!
4) Her sister is on this CD making it seem like she is only cashing in on Hilarys fame!
If you like any of Hilary's songs I would reccomend buying the single, don't waste your money on this!
its so great i could listen to it for ever it has all my favorte Hillary duff songs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I normally shun sugary pop music from women who look like they spend more time polishing their toenails than working on their craft. As far as I ever knew, Hilary Duff's efforts fit into that catagory. On some bizarre impulse, I got a copy of this CD while picking up some others. Maybe it's her eyes on the cover -- it's like they were following me around.
Anyway, I tried to throw out my preconceived notions, took a deep breath, and listened to it. It was pretty good. There I wrote it. (Don't tell my friends.) Yes, one can pick apart a lot of things that are pretty rough around the edges, but there's something about the overall package that I found myself enjoying.
I'll keep listening.
Four-and-a-quarter stars, plus three-quarters because I shouldn't have pre-judged her.
I was amazed to hear that Hilary Duff was releasing a "Greatest Hits" album after she has only released two albums plus a Christmas CD. However, she has definitely pulled it off!
"Most Wanted" went straight to #1 on the Billboard charts where it still remains - this proves that the girl can definitely rock!
This album include all of Hilary's released singles ("So Yesterday", "Fly" and "Our Lips Are Sealed" [with sister Haylie]), plus 3 new tracks. The new tracks "Wake Up", "Beat of My Heart", and "Break My Heart" are definitely the stand-out tracks on the album. Hilary sounds much more mature and grown up. The new tracks were written by Benji and Joel Madden (of Good Charlotte fame) so they pack a little more 'punch' than her older music.
The album also includes 4 new 2005 remixes. "Rock This World", "Why Not", and "The Girl Can Rock" sound very similar to the originals but are perhaps a little more rock orientated. The "Come Clean" remix is personally my favourite remix on the album, as it sounds completely different to the original.
The album is 'padded' out with a few of the more popular tracks of her previous albums thrown in. "Mr James Dean" and "The Getaway" were favourites from the 2004 released self titled album, while the track "Metamorphosis" is from the 2003 debut album, 'Metamorphosis'
The only irritating thing about this release is that there were so many different versions released, including an American CD (this one), and American Collectors Version, a Japan version, and an Australian/New Zealand version. All CD's contained different tracks and remixes. This was frustrating for many fans who wanted to collect all the different tracks, and had to buy many copies of the CD.
This is a great album, however if you're a serious fan, I recommend that you buy the Collectors Edition or the Australian/New Zealand version, as it includes the new bonus track, "Supergirl"
Hilary Duff has yet released another album which is surely to sell platnium record sales like her other albums. Some of my favourites include The Beat of my Heart, and Wake Up which was co-written by Joel from Good Charlotte. If any of you guys love pop music, go to your nearest store and get a copy you wont regret it. It features the best songs from her first and second album and new songs.
