Here are some customer reviews of Mortal Kombat :

I thought that it was a really good movie. A lot better than the second one. Some of the moves were slightly exaggerated, but follow the line of the game.

This video game-turned action movie is O.K. It's got some pretty good action sequences in it, O.K. performances (except Christopher Lambert's silly performance as a thunder god who speaks in fortune cookie riddles), and a amazing shock-rock soundtrack. However, the plot is shamelessly stolen from the Enter The Dragon. The best fight scene in the movie is the part where Johnny Cage takes on Scorpion. That was awesome. The reptile fight scene is also cool. This movie is violent and savage, but not nearly as gruesome as the popular video games of MK. And the language isn't that bad either.

It is so cool when Cage does a ball breaker to Goro

The world's greatest fighters have been invited to a tournament, no "THE TOURNAMENT." Liu Kang (Robin Shou) descendant of Kung Lao, wants to avenge the death of his brother. Johnny Cage (Linden Ashby) is not a fake. Sonya Blade (Bridgette Wilson-Sampras) has a crush on a one-eyed man. All three of these fighters are part of "Mortal Kombat." Shang Tsung (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa) is an immortal, but not as much as Arnold Schwarzenegger or Jean-Claude Van Damme. Save your pity for the weak, this movie isn't for the squeamish. Liu Kang takes no prisoners and steps on lizards. Johnny Sonya Blade crunches and gets drooled on by a disgusting Kano. "Get over here!" Oh yes, remember Lord Rayden (Christopher Lambert) who has a bad accent and needs to change out of his pajamas. Finally, Princess Kitana (Talisa Soto) does not look like she's five hundred years-old. Based on the video game, the movie delivers. You can avoid the sequel if you wish. "This is the part where you fall down" and laugh at this hilarious review.

Well, the first time I saw the previews for Mortal Kombat, I was skeptical. But once I got to the theatre and the theme began, I was hooked. This is my favorite movie. I love the Johnny Cage/Sonya Blade relationship.
