Here are some customer reviews of
More Adventurous
: this album wasnt what i expected. but then again, theyd previewed these songs live before and they were awesome. the record sound is obviously more polished, and i think a lot of people are going to dislike that. but every song on this album is catchy and completely rilo kiley. their last three cds were amazing, and while there is nothing extraordinary like 'with arms outstretched' or 'pictures of success,' there are some really great tracks like 'love and war' and 'jim,' and i guarantee you will play it over and over, because it never stops being a really fun and simply enjoyable album//
I can't begin to tell you how awful this CD is and this band.
Can someone out there for the love of God and all that's good and holy create some music that's inspired and unique or moving or creative at least?
The best indie bands are underrated - Doves and Interpol. The rest are painful to sort through trying to find something worth listening to.
In More Adventurous, L.A.-based band Rilo Kiley's latest album, the group explores a remarkable range of music with Jenny Lewis' sweet and soulful voice tying it all together. Blake Sennett on guitar, Jason Boesel on drums, and Pierre de Reeder on bass also display excellent musicianship; with Sennett's nimble guitar work being a highlight of the group's sound. Rilo Kiley manages to make this their most accesible album yet while still maintaining their unique indie sound, catchy melodies, and witty and insightful lyrics. Highly recommended.
This is a stupid review, but the main thing about this album is that listening to the singer's voice, you seem to be filled with a strange, calm feeling. That's all I have for you.
whoever was complaining about too much jenny, i dont agree with you. she is beautiful with a beautiful voice and obviously the band is still there making the music. and still jenny isnt even the only vocals.
i love rilo kileys new cd "more adventurous" and its definitely a must have. its different from the others but still good
