Here are some customer reviews of Loyal to the Game :

Just picked this cd up and its tight! Yes, as you heard there are alot of songs that eminem screwed up and its true, there are some songs that your going to want to skip... Other then that this cd is good, i wouldnt rate this next to his other cd's but its good listen.... Its 2pac still:)

2pac's lyrics will be good no matter what, but eminem is garbage, and ghetto gospel's lyrics were classic, but eminem is pure crap, his new cd is garbage, and he made 2pac's cd bad, because of his horrible beats

Granted Pac had a steady group of artists he collaborated with...most of which stemmed from his early Bay Area Roots...(Spice 1, Richie Rich, E-40,C-Bo, Nut-So, Outlawz, etc.) But remember Pac did many collabo's "for the industry" when he was alive. Remember Method Man, Snoop Dog,etc.

If Pac was still around today... The game has changed tremendously. Beats are nothing like they were when he was around. Remember it's been almost 10 years now. I guarantee Pac would be spitting over beats just like some of these if he were here. I also guarantee that Pac would have collaborated with some of these artists. (Eminem, Jada (since the beef would have subsided by now), He probably would have beefed with 50 "just to sell some records", I could have seen him with Young Buck.

Let me say this as well, the beats and collabo's on this album put Biggie's Post-Death Album to shame.

Appreciate this for what it is. Don't listen to hear Pac 9 years ago. Listen and think about Pac in 2005. He would be right here and doing just what everybody else is doing. Granted he would be alot better than the rest, but I think he'd fit in just fine.

if for anything else 2apc has been loved is for the beats in his songs.them beats are the bomb. pacs lyrics are the best of all but if eminem is going to put some crappy beats it aint going to work like it used to
eminem dont mess around with pacs stuff again

Now that I've got the CD, I can finally talk more about this album. I'm still not impressed with the production or the way that they treated this album. No offense to Eminem but it was a VERY bad move to give him permission to produce most of the album. Eminem is an alright producer (he's better off rapping, to be honest) but his production doesn't suit 2Pac's style whatsoever. Even Eminem should have known that. He has a couple of good tunes for 2Pac's music such as my personal favorite and honorable mentions I listed at the bottom of this review. Songs like Loyal to the Game, Hennesey (the major LET DOWN of this album) and N.I.G.G.A. is where Eminem really killed it. Really, do you really think 2Pac is gonna rap to a pathetic beat such as Hennesey? I reckon Eminem was being too selfish on this album by not caring what style 2Pac suited, he just wanted it his way. This is one of the downs of this album, the production. It would have been MUCH wiser to let 2Pac's real homeboyz produce his sh*t such as the legendary QD3, Johnny "J", DJ Quik (who produced a song here which is brilliant), Naughty by Nature, Devante, Tony Pizarro, Hurt-m-Badd, Daz Dillinger, Shock-G, Underground RailRoad etc. They knew what style 2Pac suited and are responsible for such classic albums by 2Pac such as Strictly 4 my N.I.G.G.A.Z., Me Against the World, All Eyez on Me and 7 Day Theory.

The next letdown of this album is the guest appearance. I don't know who's idea was it to put this stupid guest list on the album but it was a VERY bad choice, one of the reasons this album gets such a low mark. 2Pac would NEVER rap with fools like 50 Cent and G-Unit. You can tell by the way 2Pac rapped with other rappers. Rappers such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Dogg Pound, Nate Dogg, Lady of Rage, E-40, Richie Rich, Stretch, Naughty by Nature, OUTLAWZ, THUG LIFE, Big Syke, Bad Azz, CPO, Raw Fusion, Digital Underground etc. were and are not whack. Rappers like 50 Cent, G-Unit, Obie Trice, Eminem (the way he is now is totally whack) just ruined it. I'm not a big fan of Jadakiss so I don't mind him being on here but it was a big mistake to put the others on.

It's stupid to put on rappers on 2Pac's songs when he never knew them or had beef with. Some of 'em artists are tight (such as Nas) but most of them just didn't belong with 2Pac. Afeni needs to understand that 2Pac's post humous CDs will not only show respect for the fans but 2Pac and the homeboyz who were originally on it. Its unfair to take off homeboyz off the original tracks and allow new rappers to ruin the original and true sh*t. An example of this is Still Ballin', off Better Dayz. Kurupt was the original guest but taken off and replaced by Trick Daddy. Its also unfair to the original producers because the fans will never get to hear what the song originally sounded like. Who cares if it was old school or didn't have life to it, its the way 2PAC RAPPED TO IT AND STARTED WITH! What's even worse is that the rappers on this album are trying to make it sound as if he knew them in actuality. Examples of this are like when 2Pac yells out G-Unit or Obie's name out or when he yells out Jadakiss' name (that was explained as 2Pac knew Jada Pinkett-Smith and said her name in a couple of his rhymes). What dicks if you ask me, 2Pac would never roll with those fools.
I have respect for Eminem but he totally ruined this album. The way he's going is not a good road. This whole album was a total embarassment to 2Pac. Its much wiser to leave 2Pac's original homeboyz and producers on. Who cares if these new or old rappers, who never had a chance to rap with him, want a chance to rap along with him mentally. IT IS NOT FAIR TO THE ONES WHO WERE ORIGINALLY ON IT OR WHO PRODUCED IT. You're not going to get better known or less known if you rap with him anyway. What the TRUE 2Pac fans want is to hear what his original songs SOUNDED LIKE, who was on the original tracks and don't mess with 2Pac's lyrics. Eminem did that, too. He sometimes sped up 2Pac's pace to fit in with his production or slowed it down, which was really brainless.

Do us a favor Afeni and just release 2Pac's tracks as they were. You, of all people, should know that putting on new producers to re-produce 2Pac's works doesn't suit his style. You also know that ever since Until the End of Time, 2Pac has sounded much different and it just doesn't work.
Do yourself a favor, people, and don't get this album. Get the songs I mentioned below as they're the true gems and ONLY good songs WORTH listening to.

Personal favorite= Ghetto Gospel
Honorable mentions= Uppercut, Out on Bail, Thugs Get Lonely Too, Crooked Nigga Too and all remixes except for the Scott Storch remix as he is a pathetic producer
