Here are some customer reviews of Love Is the Killer App: How to Win Business and Influence Friends :

Love Is The Killer App has changed my life and outlook on how I do business.

In his book Tim Sanders evangelizes the qualities of being a "lovecat" which is simply someone who deals with people in a compassionate way. As an ex-investment broker this is a new way of thinking, but one which I have always wished was possible. Now, I know the world is accepting cats like me. I don't have to be the hard...professional that I always thought I "should" be. I will get farther in life by just being me.

The three keys Tim talks about: knowledge, network and compassion lay a foundation for moral-thinking professionals such as myself to be all that we can be by giving others a hand up. Either by sharing what we know, who we know or just a simple smile or pat on the back to lift them up and electrify their day.

In The Experience Economy by Pine & Gilmore discuss new way of doing business that creates an experience for the customer. You can no longer just provide a product or service, but only by developing an unforgettable experience will you build lasting relationships. This is EXACTLY what reading and implementing Tim Sanders' ideas into your everyday life will produce. People will remember you as a "lovecat" because you created an experience for them that grew their knowledge base, expanded their personal and/or professional network and sparked some love into their lives. And this will open unlimited doors for you.

Spread the weed!

I heard Tim Sanders speak recently at a young leaders conference in Atlanta and it was on this very idea ("Love is the Killer App"). So while I was already introduced to the general idea of the book, it was more helpful for me in reading it because I had heard this guy speak and had seen his audacious personality!

Let me just say this: everything you read in the book is truly lived out in Tim, the man. I'm not a Business major, but I am a Communication major in college right now and this book gave great insights to not just good-business models and principles but good social-people skills as well.

I wish he had talked more in the book about the scarcity mentality (in which he spoke on -- along with talking about the content in this book) because that for me, was the most interesting thing in this whole "Love is the killer app" approach.

Despite this, the book is solid and is good for not just the Business folk but for every person who would call themselves a human being. I'm an aspiring 21-year-old lovecat myself, and Tim is an encouraging role model for me and for the future of American leaders and followers! Thanks Tim!

If you like Tom Peters you will love Tim Sanders. Tim is a knowledge aggregator - he's taken a whole bunch of ideas from books he has read and turned those ideas into his business philosphy. This is about Tim Sanders, Inc. who happens to work for Yahoo! It's about personal branding, personal marketing, and adding value to the organization. Tim's point is that you can do all of that and still be a nice guy and if you do it right you will be creating a great experience for those who work with you or for you. It's "How to Win Friends and Influence People" for the 21st century networked world. I think it is a great book. Tim has taken some big ideas - knowledge acquisition, networking, killer app's, personal branding, compassion (i.e., love), etc. - and weaved them into a personal philosophy that he offers up as a guide to the business world. Whether you agree with Tim or not, it's pretty cool stuff. And if you want to follow his guide you should first make a list of books you want to read. "Love is the Killer App" should be first on the list.

Tim Sanders is something of an evangelist for the power of reading and networking to advance your career. He writes a great deal in this book about how to connect with people -- and more often than not, the secret of connection is to read a lot of books and share the things you learned in those books, with people who could benefit from your knowledge.

Sanders conveys his message in a very cheerful, optimistic, inspiring way. You'll read his book and go back to work all pumped up, ready to really make a difference, make some new friends, and make your mark in the business world.

For a slightly more hard-edged view of the working world, please see my book "The Rules of Ruthlessness," which also offers an empowering view of success in your career. The book is available here on Amazon.com -- you can find more information about it at ruthlessness.com.

[...]. This book is bad. It is badly written, and it has no substance. Mr. Sanders basically takes 200 plus pages to wax on and on about how everyone in the business world loves him, how he is chipper on airplanes while those around him are downtrodden, and how he is such a nice guy. His "advice" consists of telling his readers to be nice as well, and to ... get this: readbooks. Yup, Sanders seems to think all you need to know to succeed in business is how to get yourself to a bookstore, find the section on business books and start reading. If this is not obvious enough, he spends page after page telling you how and where to read and how to take notes. [...].
