: Before listening to these songs from the past, I didn't think anyone could or should cover Cline or Ray Charles,or Hank,and Joplin...but after listening to this cd, it is unbelievable the beauty of Rimes's voice and the feelings that she is able to display. This cd is one of the best I've ever heard. I am a fan of blues, classical, rock and country, this is the best. I hope Rimes will do some blues......
Definitely one of the many GREAT works of LeAnn. And it's for sure, she didn't not just get lucky. She's been striving for years, so she's not just some overnight success. This album is a great collection of the some of the finest, richest, and romantic traditional songs of our time. And like always, LeAnn sings it so beautifully!
You know, some critics can be rather obnoxious when a beautiful, talented country artist decides to truely play out her heart in song!! The critic listed here about this CD should probably stick with all the typical flaky pop/country that's out now. Too bad the true appreciation for Leann's latest choice of 'REAL' country covers isn't in that critic's heart. This CD is one fabulous collection by one beautiful young lady - the music speaks for itself!!
I bought her album, and love it! Each time she does an album, her voice seems to grow more beautiful and powerful. Her voice has always been amazing since age 8, and now at age 17 it's incredible how she can sing any note wonderfully. I suggest you buy it! Thanks LeAnn for doing an awesome job!
I'm glad to see LeAnn Rimes back after a year and a half. She has some stand out tracks like "Crazy" and "Me and Bobby McGee". Her vocals have went from outstanding to literally perfect. LeAnn can so no wrong and she proves this on her remake album. The next one is gonna be pop.
