Before spending three years and many tens of thousands of dollars, check this book out to keep your what-ifs from becoming I-should-haves. As a practicing attorney who stumbled onto this book, I can say that reading this book will be well worth your while.
Folks, If you're even thinking about attending law school, read this book! LSC walks you through every stage of the process: thinking about law school; determining if it's right for you; applying to law schools; how to settle in to law school; how to do well once classes begin; how to secure employment; and, LSC tells you how to pass the bar exam. In short, LSC takes you from beginning to end on how to become a lawyer. Get this book, and you won't say, 'I wish I knew then what I know now...' With LSC, you can have that wish granted! Regardless of whether or not you ultimately attend law school, buying LSC is the BEST $20 you'll ever spend. The worst that could happen is that you could save tens of thousands of dollars and learn about what law school is like. That alone was fascinating reading, at least for me. For an insider's view of law school and the legal profession, LSC can't be beat!
Okay, I exaggerate. But this book offers such a complete overview of what lies ahead for me in the coming weeks (about the begin my first year) that I am actually feeling okay about it all! Thank you LSC! I'll keep you by my side all year!
 I've read several of these books now, including The Law School Insider (which is MUCH better) and Acing Your First Year of Law School. The main problem I had with Law School Confidential is that its advice is not particularly realistic. He advises a rigid daily schedule, and a color-coding scheme for studying, among other things. While those may be useful for some people, I can't work that way, and I've never known any one who actually did. (And I was a PhD student in Computer Science.) His point of view seems geared towards getting good grades and beating the competition, but not towards learning. As a graduate student, I saw many people with that attitude, and they were rarely the best students. Overally, I found the book to be immature, and way too cynical.
This book appears to be excellent preparation for law school. The information is timely and helpful, and has alleviated a lot of my concerns. Its tips appear to be insightful, and I believe I will do most of the things the book recommends. This is a must for law students.
