: Larry is funny on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour; there he gives you the impression that he plays the dumb redneck which is funny. But on this DVD he gives you the impression that he is the dumb redneck. Then he becomes boring. And I hate it that he denies others the right of freedom of speech.
He signs off with an anti-Hillary (Clinton) song parody-the redneck audience eats it up-a devious tactic to merge the sign-off applause with an anti-Democrat sentiment. Pretty offensive for those of us who abhor the ugly tactic of personal destruction (and why simply gang up and attack her for "being ugly"? Is that the best you can do against the strongest Democrat?). Come on idiots, recognize the repug party for what it is: blatant corruption masked by an appeal to the racist, xenophobic self-regard of the gullible and under-educated. YOU don't benefit from the new-world order-only the top 1% will get more while everyone else will become enslaved to Walmart and the cross. You will NOT get a pension or health-care or clean water or air or even a weekend off work with a repug majority. WAKE UP and smell the stench of blatant corruption you self-destructive idiots! it affects YOU.
So. This performance definitely appeals to a Walmart kind of demographic; crude, cheap, mean humor aimed at angry, white, alcoholic, trailerpark rednecks (or to any white male with a persecution complex). This pretty much destroys the notion of down-south humor as "family entertainment"-not for the little ones. I can kind of look around this and appreciate it for what it is: the observations of a slow guy with a stupid accent. A few heh-heh parts perhaps, definitely nothing I would want to hear twice-rent it at FetNlix if you must but don't waste your money with a purchase.
This guy is funnier with the group, not alone....His language and humor was rude and just not funny.....Making fun of people with disabilities is just not funny......
 Larry the Cable Guy and his southern redneck stand-up comedy shtick is very funny, mostly. This DVD features Larry in a 66-minute stand-up monologue, which is much edgier and little more vulgar in parts than his act in The Blue Collar Comedy Tour. There's a lot of juvenile bathroom humor - especially about flatulence. And Larry pokes a lot of fun at people with disabilities. If you are easily offended by these things this video is not for you! Myself, I found it most of it laugh out loud funny although there are some moments that aren't so funny. Also, I'd already seen some the material in the Blue Collar Comedy Tour videos.
The extra features were stupid frankly. There's a short skit called "Bathroom Humor" which was not funny and then a bunch of silly pictures of Larry.
But overall I would give this DVD a thumbs up because it makes you laugh and is something you can watch multiple times and still enjoy it.
 We loved Larry and others in "Blue Collar Comedy Tour", but we less impressed with this DVD. We liked it, but didn't love it. Larry does a lot of the same stuff and although he starts off a little rough (not enough sleep?), he gets into gear later on.
