Here are some customer reviews of Lamaze: Octotunes :

This toy is great. My 7 month old daughter can't put it down. She loves the colors and the sounds that it makes.

Even though my son (7 months) cannot squeeze the tentacles himself yet, he loves to listen to us make music for him. He has enjoyed this since he was a few months old. He also likes to chew on it. :)

I am more than a little tired of all the toys my son gets as gifts - they seem to flash lights incessantly and play Brahms symphony over and over again. This toy is a winner for both my son and me
1. This toy is really cute - it looks sweet My son seems to love anything with large eyes
2. You have to squeeze the bellows to get any sound - no symphony ad nauseum, no batteries and No lights!
3. The eight tentacles play eight notes do re mi --- This gives my son a chance to create his own tune and me to hum it back to him. We love that part!
4. Surface washable toy made of fabric so that when my son sucks on this toy like he does on everything he can grab I don't worry so much about what chemicals are entering his system.
I have always loved lamaze toys and this one lives up to their usual standards.

We received Octunes as baby gift and have been playing with it since our daughter was 4 months. It's a great toy for the two of us, but tough for independent play. It's surprisingly heavy, and my daughter (at 7 months) can't move it about easily. The tentacles are fairly large - so she has trouble grasping them to get the "honk" sound. But it's bright, colorful and great for "mommy and me" play. Editor, Premier Baby Magazine www.premier-baby.com

This toy is absolutely beautiful!
My daughter is 8 months, almost 19 lbs, but doesn't have enough dexterity to squeeze the arms. She really loves being able to produce noises, so I'm hoping she'll grow into this. Right now my husband and I play with it more - I wish the songbook had more than 2 songs!
