 What's good about "Jack Frost" is that it can appeal to both children and adults (if you are a kid at heart!) :0)I found it quite fascinating to watch the snowman come to life, the special effects were kool. I enjoyed seeing the snowman bop around, frollicking with his son and at the same time bringing joy to the child's heart. The scene that made me cry was when the boy was making the snowman and the song "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac was playing in the background. This movie is warm and touching, and is also a great holiday movie.
The whole story revolves around a Father, and his son. The father never has enough time for his child,, and dies suddenly in a car wreck. Michael Keaton come back to Earth as a Snowman, and find that he has to spend some time with his boy. Winter doesn't last forever though, and it does have a sad ending. |
I found Jack Frost a very excellent family show and I would recomend it to every one to watch or buy. I know that my family loves it and so will yours'.
Sad movie for the adults, okay special effects for the kids. Unfortunately, to me it seems to give the wrong impression of death. People do not come back after they die to help those they love cope with it. My kids like it because of the snowman, but I can't watch it anymore because it disgusts me like that Robin Williams movie about the afterlife did.
A good family pick I guess( opposite from the horror movie with the same name )and I was forced into watching it. Boring. Michael Keaton does an okay job. All of the humor was physical, not anything very samrt for adults. Believe me, this would be far behind on my rental list, and I would nonrmally not choose to watch it. I just found myself in a room with a TV with this movie on it. This was longer than it should have been and very corny. I would totally trash it, but I really liked the ending. Dont get me wrong, I am not recomending it, but it did have a partially recovering ending.
