Jabra BT250v Bluetooth Headset with Vibrating Alert
: This unit has no competition, I have tried them all and Jabra is second to none. Fits securely, and amazingly comfortable thanks to its ingenious design (this should be a big deal for almost everyone)if this doesn't fit in your ear securely then you should check to see if you have it in the correct orafice, all the rest kind of dangled loosley from my ear and could easily fall out if I turned my head too fast. Great sound quality, outgoing and incoming, I have gone beyond the 30ft. barrier and still received the call. Fantastic product.
I just purchased the BT 250v bluetooth headset after extensive reviews I found this to be high on the list. After owning a wired Jaba unit for my old Nokia phone I realized then that JABA made high quality products. I tried the Motorola Brand bluetooth but really didn't like the fit along with the large design over the ear didn't fit my appearance I wanted. After trying the Jaba 250v I knew right away it was perfect for me, talk time was much longer than the competitors & the fit was uncomparable. Once you put it in your ear with the proper fitting ear gel piece it works great...super loud volume & easy to control switching along with a very light weight that you even forget its on your ear. People don't even notice hardly that it is there being it wraps around behind the ear instead of overtop like the others (LOOKING LIKE YOU CAME OUT OF A STARTREK EPOSOIDE)...If your debating this one you can't go wrong with, I work outside around noisy equipment & no problems with hearing the ear piece especially being it vibrates when a call comes in....******GREAT******
I am just purchasing a BT250V (I have not yet received it.) I've been using my BT200 for over a year and it's been GREAT! Good sound quality and features. Comfortable to wear all day and fits well. After a couple of days of use, you don't even notice it's there. More importantly, the 250 has almost twice the battery life of the 200 (7 vs 4). I don't know the the vibrating feature is a plus. I would think it adds mass and so, more weight. I'm not sure I need my ear vibrating.
From the mind and labs of sound genius, Woody Norris, The Jabra is a great unit.
(I only gave the BT250V three stars, since I have not yet received it. If it works as well as my BT200, it will rate five stars.)
I love the style of this piece, it really feels secure on your ear. It does make my ear hurt after it has been in there for a couple of hours and leaves my ear irritated.
I loved the sound while it worked but after about 3 months, it no longer will connect to my Motorola V710. The bluetooth on my phone is working properly so it appears to be a software incompatibility, despite it being listed as acceptable for this model. I wish other Bluetooth models came with this style.
I fell in love with the bluetooth module when I got my first bluetooth enabled phone. The idea of being able to jus tleave your phone in your pocket, in your house on the counter, or elsewhere, and walk around up to 30 feet without holding the phone was just awesome. Two things about this phone, however, that made this appeal diminish over time:
1. The 30ft. radius degrades over time. Although you should still be able to get 30ft six months down the road, the reception will be extremely scratchy. The quality of this receptoin is based on your battery in the phone, which degrades over time as well.
2. The construction of the product is flimsy. If you are like me and put things in your pocket, beware that this will cause the plastic and rubber to disconnect from each other, making the wires inside visible. I also lost a button - it popped out when the parts disconnected. So if you buy this, take care of it. It will still work, but it will just be that much more annoying.
Hope this helps.
