It moved well for it's quick comedy and the laughs pretty much kept coming righ along with--. The gathering of such talent for this film was exceptional. Absolutely! ! The Best... I like this movie a lot, which is why I was sooooo disappointed with this DVD. They released the orginal theatrical version, which unfortunately cuts out a lot of great scenes. Please re-release...but as DIRECTORS CUT! When we brought this movie home from the video store for the first time years ago, my dad told me it would be the funniest movie I had ever seen. And he was right! It's just packed full of good, clean, halarious comedy! It's also packed full of top-notch comediens: Spencer Tracy, Buddy Hackett, Micky Rooney, Phil Silvers, Milton Burle, Ethel Merman, and Jonathan Winters. This is one of my favorites! I highly recommend this hysterical and delightful film! The movie: Excellent! However... I couldn't wait for the DVD of this movie to come out so I could replace my out-of-print VHS copy. Unfortunately, I'll have to keep the tape, because the DVD cuts many scenes from the movie and then labels them as "extra" or "deleted" footage. These scenes are correctly placed within the movie itself on the VHS edition. It's a shame and I don't know why the movie had to be chopped up like that. As it is, I'm looking forward to burning my own DVD of the tape as soon as I can. I saw this movie on a UHF channel when I was a child. I have loved it ever since and was thrilled to find it on video. It is truly a timeless masterpiece. Good clean fun!!
