: Korn don't prove themselves to be any better with this dreck. Listened to it twice and gave it to my sister, utterly boring
This musical masterpiece is another look into Jonathan Davis's dark past. Falling Away From Me, to me, represents a young child's depression. Trash, to me, is about a rapist that struggles with his conscience. Lets Get This Party Started is about jealousy and envy between a depressed child and a kid whos got it made. These are just a few views from me to these songs. Jonathan Davis mixes depression and rage to make an album worth listening to. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
A few months ago, when I looked at korn.com's updates page and Jon said the new album would be a lot like their first self titled album, I got excited; mostly because the first album was my favorite. When issues came out, I listened to it.. and there are some great new tunes, but it doesn't have the quality or lyrics that the past few albums had.
Okay, what's with this that Korn is selling out? So their music's changed. I like it. Who wants to listen to the same damn thing all the time? The only way Korn has sold out is by their merchandising. Have you seen the inside of their CD? It lists the magazines of Korn merchandise! The CD is pretty good. Jonathan Davis still has the same whiny voice we all love or hate, and they stil have the same messed up lyrics, although the concepts are getting kinda old. So what if Korn wants to try out a new sound? I say let them do whatever they want. If they start singing country or something, that's when you should get upset, but if they are trying to broaden their music horisons, just let them.
This cd is awesome. This is one of the best cds ever from any rock bands. The best songs are Falling Away From Me, Trash, Beg For Me, and 4U. I recommend buying this cd even if you never liked Korn to begin with. I never liked Korn until I heard this cd!
