Here are some customer reviews of Hoover F6215-900 SteamVac Agility Carpet Cleaner :

This carpet cleaner was already assembled; I simply took it out of the box and began using it. It did a good job on carpet, removing lots of dirt and even set in stains. I have even tried it on upholstery: chairs and sofas and automobile seats. It cleaned very well and was easy to use and clean-up afterwards.

Our bissell steam cleaner finally conked out after 4 years of doing a pretty good job (some leakage of the cleaning solution and two trips to have the roller brush repaired) on rugs inhabited by two dogs, a cat and a husband who forgets to take his shoes off. After doing a lot of research online, I chose the Hoover Agility. It wasn't the most expensive, but seemed to have the best and most consistent reviews.
I received my machine today and of course, had to try it out. I chose one room and was very pleased with its performance. I haven't tried the handtools yet, but I imagine they will perform well.
Two things I need to get used to: smaller path on the machine than I am used to with the bissell and power on the pedal. The power pedal is on the same side as my vacuum and previous steam cleaner handle releases, so I keep turning the machine off accidentally.
So, unless I run into some snag, I'll say the Hoover Agility is a great value.

I was a little leary of buying another steam cleaner after problems I had with a Bissell Little Green Machine several months ago. Always wanted more of a hand held unit compared to a standup unit like an Agility. How wrong I was. The Agility went beyond my wildest dreams. Cleaned up carpet that I thought was dirty forever, and amazed me of actually how much dirty is in our carpets - ewwww! My carpets look 10X better and that's saying alot for carpet in an apartment! I would definately recommend the Hoover Agility, and its inexpensive compared to most other steam cleaners available.

I used my Hoover SteamVac yesterday for the first time and was not surprised at all at how well it performed. My first carpet cleaner was a Hoover and I was so happy with the results it gave me that there was no doubt in my mind I would choose a Hoover product again. In reading other reviews before purchasing, some people complained about the water tank tops breaking and in using mine I did think that the new design was a bit awkward but I got it down after filling the tank a few times. I do wish they had made the clips on the sides out of the same rubbery plastic as the actual tank as there is very little give in the plastic they chose. But realizing that, I made a conscious effort to remove the lids carefully. Also the design of those clips made it difficult for me to get my finger under them. I think they were made for a right-handed person judging from the way they made the groove underneath. But I adapted. The thing that really mattered to me was how well it cleaned. Having had to stand up to 5 pets, beach sand, and a man in construction boots wearing down a traffic pattern, my eight year old beige plush really needed some strong cleaning power for me to be satisfied.. and this machine provided it. Now I'm generally not one to follow directions and the ones Hoover provided on how to actually clean the carpet were no exception. I have my own feelings about how to do it. I did use the recommended amount of cleaner per tank fill but I did alter the push/pull sequence, taking the "more's better" approach, and went over a swath 2 times back and forth without drawing up the water because I feel like it needs a little time to get into the fibers. [I'm sure if Hoover reads this they'll be rolling their eyes.] I go on to the next swath, do the same thing, then go back to the first one, pick up the water and then release water one more time going forward and then, pulling back, draw up all the water until there is none left in the carpet. It may not be the best way, but.. that's just me. In conclusion, I think the Hoover Steam Vac is an excellent choice for the money. I know it's not going to last forever but I know I'll get my money out of it atleast tenfold if not more. So, Happy Cleaning!!

After our cat decided that she wasn't very happy with us, for some reason, she decided to let us know in a way that couldn't go un-missed. I was shopping at Home Depot for other stuff at happened upon the carpet cleaner section. I read the descriptions for each one and was deciding between this and the Bissell. Because this motor was a little more powerful, had a detachable tool caddy, and just plain looked cooler.

I brought it home, pulled it out of the box and it was completely assembled and ready to use. I spent a couple minutes reading the user's manual because I had never used a steam cleaner or carpet shampoo machine before. After I was satisfied I know where everything went I filled the cap with the hoover shampoo that came with the cleaner and filled the canister. This was all very easy to do. The part that took the longest was waiting for the canister to fill with water. I started it up and pushed forward with the trigger pulled, released the trigger and pulled the machine back, watched the brown water come out of my less than 1 year old carpet. That's it. After I was done I dumped out the return canister, rinsed it and dumped out the remainder of water in the solution canister.

Bottom line, this machine was really easy to use, clean-up and gave me great results.
