Here are some customer reviews of Golden Road :

Wow, Keith did it again! His music it getting better all the time. This CD has a lot more of Keith's aussome guitar pickin, or as Keith said, "it's more musically muscular". The CD kicks off with two high energy songs that are guaranteed to get your toes tappin.

Jeans On is a great rendition of the old version. Let's hope for a jeans commercial with this one!

Song number 7 - You Look Good In My Shirt has #1 written all over it. You would expect it to be a Tim McGraw hit...thank goodness Keith got a hold of it!

Raining On Sunday is my favorite track off of this CD. This is one of those songs that you'll be holding up your lighter to at his concerts!! It talks about praying for rain so that you can get away from the hectic world and snuggle under the covers with your lover all day.

***bonus track!!*** After song 12,You're Not My god, Keith plays his "One Chord Song". What a hoot! You have to FWD to minute 6 and 19 seconds of track 12. Crank it up and soak in the sarcasm!

Keith Urban's latest album, Golden Road, would have to be the best album around at the moment, with a mixture of songs for all ages. The first song released "Somebody like you" has done wonders on the charts for Keith, and his latest release "Raining on Sunday" is about to do the same. Keith uses his voice like never before and reveals a lot about himself that many other artists fail to do.
Uplifting songs, such as "Jeans On" and "You look good in my Shirt" show the more outgoing side to Keith while ballads like "Song for Dad" or "Your not alone tonight" bring out his sensitive side proving to his listeners that sure, he likes to have a bit of fun, but he's got feelings just like everyone else and he is not affraid to show it.
Keith is a country boy at heart and this album would appeal to not only country music lovers, but anyone who likes an artist that is easy to listen to. I hope "Golden Road" is a taste of what is yet to come from Keith Urban!

This album is fresh and alive! Seeing him in concert and now owning the CD WOW. Keith with his Telecaster & Banjo what a combo. Makes you wanna get up and dance!

I think that this CD is very well rounded. It shows the fun loving side of Keith in "Jeans on" and "Somebody Like you". But it also shows the more serios side of Keith in "Song for dad", "Not My God", and "You're Not Alone Tonight". I'm glad that Keith has shown us what he's really about!

Nashville Should have gotten down on their knees and thanked their lucky stars the day that native Australian Keith Urban pulled into town, some ten or twelve years ago. Instead, according to some accounts, it almost did him in. Well, they say that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. If that be the case, then maybe Nashville deserves a little of the credit for Urban's new CD "Golden Road", a rock-solid effort that delivers a full dose of what his first state-side release only hinted at. While that CD, "Keith Urban" had one gem,"By the Grace of God", and a couple of good toe tappers, by comparison it seems over-produced and a little soul-less. Well, "Golden Road" has soul, heart and brains.
Chances are, if you haven't already heard "Somebody Like You", you probably aren't reading this, so I don't need to tell you what a great pop song it is. It's followed up by the equally upbeat and radio friendly "Who Wouldn't Want to Be Me" (indeed!). But its the more reflective songs that really make this record shine. From love lost("You'll Think of Me") to love found ("Whenever I Run") to life's personal struggles ("What About Me", You're Not My God") Urban manages to accoplish that rare feat of both tugging the heart strings while at the same time getting in a few good licks on the guitar strings. And if "Song For Dad" doesn't put a lump in your throat, buddy you're cold!
Keith Urban is decidedly in the "hip" country music camp, along with acts like Dixie Chicks, Rascal Flats, Nickel Creek and Emerson Drive, and like those groups, deserves an audience that goes beyond simply the country music fan (which I am generally not). If you like Sheryl Crow, REM, Ryan Adams or John Mellencamp you should give this CD a try.
