Here are some customer reviews of Colma : although this is ok it's not really what i go to buckethead for - there are many other musicians and guitarists who've done this mellow/new age stuff for years and done it better than buckethead - what's the point of a buckethead album without the trademark sonic mayhem and innovation? (if you haven't seen him live you just don't know) Folks just call him Buckethead, that is. On Colma, Buckethead, takes a step from hard metal tunes to melodic, beautiful harmonic tunes. This album is full of emotional depth. He must be a great person. Hearing this album after listening to Monsters and Robots (1999), which is full of Speed Metal and heavy tunes (great, by the way) was something else! Buy and cheer! I don't even listen to anything except soft rock and rap. But I heard this CD from my friend and it was exactly what I was looking for. No words to complicate things, just relaxing guitar and drum beats. I recommend this album to everyone This is a very beautiful album. This is the first Buckethead album that I bought. I had heard his music before and was very interested. After hearing about a mellow Buckethead album I had to hear it. This is a great instrumental guitar album. This album just flows perfectly, if you like guitar music you have to buy this. I had totally different expectations when I bought this CD out of the blue. I have a few of his other projects, like Praxis and Painkiller, and I expected something similar with this release: metalesque, thrashy, fast and brilliant. It turned out to be the exact opposite (except for the brilliance). I think this is Buckethead's most personal and inviting album. It is very relaxing, touching, honest, and down-to-earth. Precisely what my music collection needed with all this death metal! Overall, this is a fabulous album, not because it is incredibly innovative or ingenious, but because it forgoes pretentiousness for a more personal effect. The production is great, too.
