Here are some customer reviews of Bobby Valentino :

Bobby's last name is not Valentino...it's WILSON! I have the MISTA CD. But ANYWAY, the CD is OK. Alot of the songs sound the same.

Bobby Valentino's debut album is awesome. I originally heard "slow down" from a friend who had the track and I really enjoyed the beat and Bobby's singing. It's rare for me to come across an album that I will play from start to finish every time I listen to it...this is one of those albums. Bobby's voice isn't the greatest in the game. He can hit all the notes he sings pretty well, but the texture of his voice isn't as strong and vibrant as, say, Ginuwine or Sisqo. Some other reviewers have called his voice slightly "whinny." I agree with this assessment, and would liken it to Mario Winans' voice, but on a much better level. The harmonies are right on point in all the tracks and fit the music very well. I'm a big fan of RnB with good harmonies and background singers...this album doesn't disappoint.

1. Some Bobby - A good intro track to get the album started. Nothing too amazing, just a solid intro.
2. Slow Down - 10/10 - The beat and the hook are addictive, and the vocals are great. One of my favorite tracks.
3. Give Me A Chance - 8/10 - Pretty cool beat and good vocals. I enjoy Ludacris' verse also.
4. Never Lonely - 10/10 - I really love this track. Another one of my favorites. The instrumental is so smooth, and Bobby's vocals are great. The lyrics are sweet also. The hook/chorus is pretty good too, but it drags on a bit before the bridge, and at the end. The bridge is perfect for the song and very well constructed and subtle.
5. Mista Valentino - One of those transition/skit-like tracks. Nothing too special.
6. Tell Me - 7/10 - While the beat is pretty creative, I'm not a big fan of it. For that reason, I rated it relatively low. Bobby's vocals are still good, and the chorus is fitting as well. Overall, not really an amazing track, but a solid addition to the album.
7. My Angel (Never Leave You) - 8/10 - A solid track, but not really amazing. Enjoyable RnB, and typical Bobby greatness.
8. Want You To Know Me - 10/10 - Amazing track. One of my favorites. Instrumental is pretty simple but smooth. Well produced track overall. Bobby's verses (the lyrics) are fitting and meaningful. I love the bridge and the brief harmonies on it.
9. Gangsta Love - 7/10 - Alright track. I'll listen to it while playing the album, but I'm not too enthusiastic about it. Don't really care for the instrumental too much nor the song content (lyrics).
10. Come Touch Me - 8/10 - Another alright track. Interesting instrumental and typical Bobby vocals. Not really too amazed by it, but still a decent track.
11. I'll Forgive You (Inturlude) - Great inturlude track for #12.
12. I'll Forgive You - 9/10 - Instrumental is nice. Vocals are strong and the bridge is awesome. Pretty great track all around. Bobby's singing isn't overdone and goes well with the song.
13. Love Dream - 9/10 - This track is awesome. A slightly slower "love-making" type song. Instrumental is nice and simple. The chorus drags on a bit like some of his other songs. But it is vocally pleasing. Bobby does a good job hitting the higher notes as he sings over the chorus.
14. Lights Down Low - 12/10 - Hands down, this is my favorite track on the album, and I find myself singing along whenever I'm listening to it. A great slower-type song with not-too-complicated instrumental and great vocals.
15. One Girl To Love - 10/10 - Solid track all around. I like it because it's a very patient track and the presentation isn't overbearing. The instrumental is light and appropriate, and the vocals are on point.
16. Thank You - The obligatory religious end track. Not really much going on here.
17. Slow Down (Remix) - 9/10 - An awesome remix that's very different from the first. I prefer the original version for it's cool instrumental. However, this track did "slow down" the tempo, switched up the lyrics, and is pretty chill. Ending harmonies are cool too.

So overall, I really enjoy this album. Bobby's Valentino has instantly become one of my favorite solo artists. And, unlike some of his contemporaries (Mario Winans and Ciara to be specific), he can actually sing and isn't just uplifted for good beats and good producers.

I LIKE THE CD, HE CAN SING!
HE IS SO CUTE, I REMEMBER WHEN HE WAS IN THE GROUP MISTA!
I WAS HOPING HE CAME BACK OUT!
WELL IT HAS BEEN ABOUT EIGHT YEARS BUT,NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT!
5 STAR CD *****

somehow i expected a lot better from this album. a lot of r&b heads were telling me, this was the album of the year. WRONG! I MEAN It does have some good tracks. i personally bought this album for the slow down remix (which in my opinion, is better than the original) i liked my angel, but i realized i only liked it because it sounds IDENTICAL to musiq's half crazy. i'm not to crazy about tell me (mr valentino's 2nd single) but i guess fans like it because of the timbo beat. all in all, it's not as good as i expected. if your a TRUE r&b head, this is not for you. but if you are content with commercial r&b then, i reccomend this album.

i got this cd the very first day it came out. i heard some songs on this cd and i must say that most of them are decent and bobby valentino sings very well. so go get this cd you will be impressed.
