Kudos to you guys for making it one of this years best blues album!!! It is well deserved Riley's blues tunes are irresistible, from the smoky organ-based funk of "Blues Boys Tune" through the mellow Ray Charles-styled "I'll Survive", to the bone-cracking jump blues of "Good Man Gone Bad" this set smokes. Any blues fan should purchase this--it's BB at his best. Watching him perform live would only be better! As the song goes--"if that ain't it, I quit"!! Every time I listen to B.B. King's "Blues on the Bayou" I get hungry for Memphis barbecue ribs. B.B.'s syrupy and drippy voice, the band's hot and spicy guitar licks, fat and meaty bass lines, sharp and tangy horn and piano accompaniments make for a delectable listening experience. Each time I finish listening to the CD I find myself with a grin on my face, reaching for a toothpick and a moist towelette. B.B. has still got the mojo working after all these years, a true blues guitarist with a voice thats powerfully bluesy and raw,the music is in his blood and comes right across on the cd! This is a must for any B.B. King fan and all Blues lovers! 4****star performance!!
